Where docan I get thefind real-world map data for a game like Ingress?

I want to build a game with a concept similar to IngressIngress, where the playing fieldgame map is overlaid on a real world mapone.

Where docan I get thefind map data for an app like that and how? How (in a very high level explanationgenerally) do I integrate my own game objects into that map. My game? Game objects also need to move in real time, so having them as static marker-like objectsmarkers on the map won't workisn't sufficient.

I thought that I might be able tocould use Google mapsMaps but as far as I can seetell it would be impossible to create my own graphical style, like (like Ingress has done,) with the official API provided by Google.

Any help would be appreciated.
