Easiest, most fun way to program 2D games? Flash? XNA? Some other engine?
I decided to go with Flash. The new Molehill 3D API can be used to draw 2D sprites in 3D space a lot faster as well. I see no reason why Flash shouldn't be fast enough for the game I described earlier …
