When only a single entity is walking inside that box it means no collision is needed. This however does not fix it for your current problem since it is still possible to have a lot of entities inside a single box and your problem already starts with 3 entities. | |

When you really want to stay true to your lists, have an individual list of tiles for each zone. I edited my answer to explain how to find the zone an object is in. | |
