Jun 17, 2016 at 23:15 | comment | added | milk | If you must find portable apps searching the disk for all exes sounds like the easiest way to me. Use a DB so you don't need to rescan on restart. If you need new/removed games immediately then you can subscribe to file change notifications, otherwise you can schedule a service to run (eg- at 4am) to scan the disk for changes. If you don't have a good way of determining if an exe is game, you can allow the user to validate whether exes are actually games. | |
