I've always been fascinated by games like For Honor and the way that when you parry an attack the weapons collide.

Because of this, I wanted to implement such a feature in my own game. However, I must admit I don't know where to start.

I have sort of attempted different approaches with syncing two different animations however the results haven't been that good.

So i am wondering if there is a known approach to this that I am not seeing and I hope you can guide me in the right direction.

I know this is not a direct coding question but I am really lost!
