How would I generate a surface which resembles a loop-the-loop shape like this one described here?
After triangulation of the surface, lets say I start at one end with some initial velocity which is sufficiently fast enough to make the loop without falling off where friction of the surface and air resistance are both ignored. A weight force is constantly applied downwards as well as the necessary collision forces to keep the vehicle on the surface.
With these conditions met, would it be possible to make the loop with minimal steering of the body along the surface? I get the impression that this depends on how many triangles are used to approximate the surface.
