I'm developing an online realtime multiplayer html5 based game which at least one client acts as a console display while the other (n) number of clients are controllers. None of the clients are responsible for updating any other's game play display but their own, but however, information is passed between the console and (n) controller
If I have console A and controller B and C which of the following is the most efficient way to handle communication for the game play:-
- client console transmits to socket server then to each client controller where game play logic will be handled?
- each client controller transmits to socket server then to client console where game logic will be handled( thus results need to be transmitted back to client controller)?
- client console and client controllers transmits to a "brain" where game logic will be processed( thus results need to be transmitted back to clients)
