I have a game which is written using SpriteKit. In this game I need huge amount of texture (about 1000) for animation. I store all of these textures in a texture atlas. When I launch my game, it's take too long (over 15 seconds) to start the game i.e. to Initial View controller. I suppose amount of texture is the reason which slows the launching of the app. What do you think, why it takes so much time to launch game? What can do to accelerate this process?

I assume that all these 1000 textures were not made by hand and were generated, if so maybe you can turn them into something more dynamic which would make the assets size smaller and would need less time to load them into memory. \$\endgroup\$ – TomTsagk May 21 '18 at 15:52
