The problem is that you always save the game before important battles, and winning by using the Master Ball is necessarily a worse outcome than winning without using it, so you'd rather reload the save and try again than use up your one Master Ball. The part about "avoiding the fight completely" also applies: fighting one of those legendary pokemon is fun, and using the Master Ball skips the fight entirely. | |
