comment At this point in time, avoid XNA?
Compare XNA forums to gamedev.net The only reason you see so many XNA questions here is (no offense) because if people want a fast OpenGL or DirectX answer, they go to StackOverflow.

comment How do I make more bullets shoot in this game code?
oh sorry, that was meant to be : var tempBullets = bullets.slice(); And sorry, that was my C# invading regarding the array... Try replacing that with : var bullets = new Array(); instead of 'new List<Bullet>()' And i think i might have used bullets.add(), change that to bullets.push()

So the first part of my answer remains, try using lists instead of a single variable. And let the code be there for reference of how i would approach it (it may have bugs, but you should get the idea)

I already did. I just have an awful lot of time on my hands, and when you have the gift of patience :P Well i may as well use it. Though i must confess, Henry, it's approaching the stage where i think you try thinking more deeply about how you can approach the problem then start asking more detailed questions.

How so? Don't just run through the code... Read through it, get the idea of what i'm trying to do, maybe you could find the problem (if not, tell us more details on the problem. Are you getting error messages?).

comment How can I simulate limited AI vocabulary for a word game?
you could let it learn! Every time the player uses a word it doesn't "know", it could have a 6/10 chance of learning it, otherwise it learns a new random word! (Thus it usually will be learning words the player knows, yet slowly bringing out words the player might not (education!!)) Of course, this would mean you'd need a "AI dictionary" for every player.

and how would i go about searching whether this is the issue?

Slightly confused regarding what you mean with points 2 and 3. And no, 1 is not the case.

comment Missing triangles in model
The model is exported from Autodesk Mudbox in a .obj format. So i don't know whether there are particular implications i should know regarding that... But when i tried rendering with quads it went a bit... weird shall we say. It's definitely not meant to be quads.

Yes, only the inside of the model is shown in the screen shots (woops i had it backwards), but the point remains... Culling isn't causing the triangle gaps

comment C# OpenTK - Getting world coordinates of points that are altered by matrices
the box had to be rotated etc. And it was getting the world coordinates in the first place that was the issue. Though it's all solved now.

Thanks for that :)

comment Skeletal Animation - Automatically apply skeleton to model
What i want to know is how they would have gone about that process when coding in Overgrowth. I know i can rig/animate etc. in Maya, etc. i would just rather not... (I also am not positive on how to export animations, etc.)

comment Skeletal Animation - Automatically apply skeleton to model
I basically just want animation of characters in a game i'm working on, couldn't find any other decent ways of going about it with openTK, so started working on my own rigger and animator. I have the skeletal animation and creation set out, i just need the actual connection to the mesh now. (If you have better animation solutions please do tell :D )

comment How can I calculate where my camera can be to avoid showing something outside a region?
Yeah, i read your blog, just couldn't think of a way to convert it to 3D, still can't unfortunately, though i just came up with my own method.

Unfortunately it is the boundaries that i am after, not the camera.Y i need to find out. Thanks anyway, you helped me do a little equation to find the highest possible camera position!

comment Sloped tiles in Platformer
i made a pixel based game, each pixel was actually 4x4. The player was 8 pixels high and i put the wall collisions at 5 pixels high, meaning he could go up one pixel in height, but not 2. So this works well with non-sloped tiles (that give the effect of a slope), but yes, ananonymously's example is better for tiled slopes. Also, yes, the two extra corner tiles is a good idea. :D
