Strategy Games Online Resources @Randolf: I meant shipping time, although I think ordering books from amazon.com would imply both buying the book and shipping it. I am trying to find an ebook about the subject as I don't want to wait weeks for shipping the book from USA. Thx! |

Play game by coding your strategy Actually, this is better than what I am thinking of! And I will try it for sure! Brilliant! Couple of questions: - Do you think it is a good idea to let players change colony individual's behaviors while the game is running or make the coding only available before running the simulation (for example, like light-bot game)? If you think it would be nice idea to give the option to change behavior while the game is running, then is it technically possible to process code changes while game is running? Or it is intensive task? |

AI algorithms for Strategy Game "Basically you should start your game with no computer opponents and get your developers to play the game." >> To make this happen, I need first to integrate multiplayer feature so developers can play the game, otherwise, I don't see how they supposed to play the game without having an opponent, right? I will really appreciate your clarification on this issue. |

AI algorithms for Strategy Game Thanks again, I decided to go with building a prototype with working animation, then building the AI architecture and test it with set of Experiments to test difficulties. |

AI algorithms for Strategy Game Thank you, I just thought I can give developers a map and colonies information (units, buildings, behaviors), and they can build a set of general AI strategies. Thx again! |

AI algorithms for Strategy Game Does that mean, I need first to have a working game (prototype), then develop the AI and test it by testers? |
