Where can I find animated textures for free? @Ricket: In the end I'll need a video format, but it does not really matter - the link I provided contained a lot of images which, when put after each other, represented an animation. An animated GIF would also work, the format is not really important. I did not know about the word "sprites" so that helps in searching I think. Thanks. |

How to gain accurate results with Painter's algorithm? @CiscolPPhone: They're all cubes/cuboids like in the image. They should be able to be animated smoothly though, so they're not always at discrete grid fields. |

How to gain accurate results with Painter's algorithm? I'm drawing 2D shapes with 4 vertexes and I cannot work on a per-pixel basis because it's too slow. I'm not utilizing the best drawing framework, so Z-buffering is not a choice. I'm just calculating the projected 2D points and draw 2D shapes. |

How to gain accurate results with Painter's algorithm? @3nixios: You're completely correct, but the problem I'm facing is calculating the distance. As I stated, I've tried several distance methods but they're all not perfect. This order results from midpoint distance sorting: i.imgur.com/AcfCm.png. |

How to gain accurate results with Painter's algorithm? @3nixios: Yes, obviously, but in what way can I determine the order of 'back to front'? |

'Unblock' / 'Yellow Out' game questions @The Communist Duck: Thanks, that's exactly what I'm talking about indeed. But if it is available as a board game on the market, isn't it a commercial game? |
