I'm the author of the Apress book Learn iPhone and iPad Cocos2D Game Development.
I'm working on an improved version of cocos2d-iphone which includes cocos3d, Lua, and lots of convenience features. It's called Kobold2D and available here: http://www.kobold2d.com

Why are MVC & TDD not employed more in game architecture? Based on this question and other thoughts I tried this and implemented a MVC game engine. The result is KoboldTouch (koboldtouch.com) and I can tell you, MVC works great for game development! The overhead is absolutely minimal, and the models can use components to further separate commonly used logic from concrete implementations. |

Difference between “staggered” isometric and “normal” isometric tilemaps? Awesome, I did not consider the map's orientation. Great choice of pictures btw. |

iPhone point-and-click adventure game engine Try Kobold2D (kobold2d.com) - it's an improved Cocos2D engine with more sample code and easier to get into. I'm the author so take it with a grain of salt, but it's also what my users are saying. :) |

Simple game engines / development tools made with artists in mind? @daestwen: Forgive me, please! It's hard to tell from your synonym and your ident-icon. ;) |
