comment How to save file in assets so it can be properly loaded in Android Studio?
Just something for you to try: Does the error also happen if you call the file _texture.png, i.e. avoiding the \t sequence in the path?

@Shiro That's probably due to the path conversion happening behind the scenes, however it might actually be some odd bug in com.badlogic.gdx as well (like backslashes being introduced somewhere but then handled the wrong way).

@Shiro It should be a forward slash. Windows accepts forward slashes for most paths since Windows 98, so don't think that's the actual issue .

comment DirectX 8.0 SDK
Is there any specific reason you'd want to use such an outdated version? It probably wouldn't even work with updated compilers. However, you should be able to just download the latest DirectX SDK and still compile programs using older functions, since most things should be kept for compatibility reasons. If you're starting learning DirectX, don't use an outdated API and learn the current generation (even if that means you might not be able to use your favorite tutorial or book).

comment How to implement this kind of ripples with a GLSL fragment shader?
IMO there's something wrong with the modified wave pettern. While the waves increase for me, they've got that odd "mirrored" pattern in them (GTX 680 in latest Chrome).

comment Looking for Bezier curve OpenGL open source implemention
"This video is not available." How about a screenshot or description? Do you just want to draw a bezier curve or want to move the points etc.? Also keep in mind that this site is more about "I've written this, it's not working, why?" It's not meant as a loose collection of links or suggestions/recommendations.

Please define drops sharply. Also provide minimal code in your actual posting (e.g. the collision detection or physics code you think is acting up).

comment How do you handle 'move to mouse', if the player is already at the mouse?
If there's some specific problem arising you're trying to solve, add some more information (source code!). Right now it's not really clear what you're looking for other than a "yes" or "no" (unlikely).

comment How do you handle 'move to mouse', if the player is already at the mouse?
You'll have to handle this case one way or another (e.g. how about only moving if there's some minimum distance?). Most games I can think of will either ignore a cursor that's too close or just continue turning you in the direction it's facing.

What are you actually looking for? How to do tile collision?

comment Game prelauncher with configurations (resolution/quality)
@MiniRagnarok That's one of the advantages of such an approach. Ideally you could have both, but also keep in mind that people don't like having to click through a launcher every time (and it might also avoid people playing your game with gamepad only since they might have to click a button).

comment Space invaders implementation
You can use the one bit texture for faster lookups (since there's no obsolete data). Then update a second texture which is used for actual drawing. You could use the same (colored) texture for both things as well though.

@LarsViklund Okay, point taken. Could work for something like that or maybe even just for overrides/testing (later on getting "hardcoded").

comment Lua Implementation
Sounds really interesting, but at the same time running native/compiled code written by the user sounds a bit like a security nightmare. Also sounds like players would need a compiler and header files on their gaming rig? Sounds a bit excessive and very confusing for someone to get started into modding. Mind expanding a bit on how (if) that's handled?

comment What's the optimal balance of story and combat in a game?
There's no way in answering that. Not only is the answer up to everyone's opinion, it's also heavily influenced by the actual game. If I'm playing some visual novel or a point and click adventure, then I want story and less to no combat. On the other hand, playing a first person shooter, combat and action become far more important.
