Professionally, I'm a Site Reliability Engineer at Google. In previous jobs I was primarily a C++ software engineer working with embedded Linux devices. In my spare time (hah!), I like to develop video games.

comment How to prevent the “Too awesome to use” syndrome
I think "rechargeable or remove" is the best answer. A TL;DR at the top would be appreciated; the answer is a bit long.

@RobertHurst, to be clear, I meant parallelism, not concurrency. node-fiber provides only concurrency.

@RobertHurst, you indirectly make a good point. The limitations of Node.js reflect the limitations of embedded V8. One example is no multi-threaded execution.

comment How can I calculate the angle and proper turn direction between two 2D vectors?
@bobobobo, with a physics engine it may not be an option to just pick a direction and move. Magically turning can cause physic engines to freak out. Further magically rotating looks terrible for animation as well. So yes, you can solve this without a notion of left or right, but a polished solution often needs these.
