You know that college kid who says he wants to make video? He draws up half a design document and tells everyone he knows he's a game designer and all he needs is a team of people and he'll be rich and famous in no time. I'm not that guy. I have a passion for not just experiencing video games but also creating them. I still look like that kid: in school, not making money yet from my games, occasionally slacking, and maybe a bit TOO enthusiastic, but I'm absolutely dedicated.

comment How can I efficiently create/store/implement animations as I add to my game?
addChild(), as far as I could find (correct me if I'm wrong), is used for 2d scene layout, specifically, a table layout. This would make it inappropriate for use in animations. I would not do it this way.

comment How do I implement smooth movement in a Box2D platform game?
In Box2D, this is accomplished with Body.applyForce() or Body.applyLinearImpulse(). Here's a helpful tutorial (I suggest reading the whole series): iforce2d.net/b2dtut/forces

comment Do I really need to “learn” C# for XNA if I know Java?
I believe there is no better way to learn than by doing. Get started and learn as you go. You're just wasting time wondering about it :)

comment moving box2d bodies in an arc or curved path
Good answer, but it is highly NOT recommended to move the body manually. Just thought it was worth mentioning :)

Give your world a somewhat realistic gravity force. Then just apply an impulse at some angle. Box2D models real world physics and you're projectile will travel in a parabola just like real life.

comment How to get faster iteration times in android development
I've personally never had a problem with iterations taking very long (4-5 seconds max usually). The only slow part of Android development seems to be the emulator if you're using it (which I don't).
