Student double-majoring in Computer Information Systems (CIS) and Psychology. Presently conducting research primarily in the field of Human-Computer Interfaces (HCI), Human Centered Design (HCD), and Human Factors. I plan to seek a PhD in HCI, or a closely related field, to start in Fall of 2017.
My primary research interest is human cooperation and interaction with semi-autonomous, autonomous, and intelligent advanced technological systems.
I'm particularly interested in applying theory to augmented/mixed reality, adaptive systems, assistive technology, user interfaces, productivity tools, improving human decision making, extended/enhanced perception, human-robot interaction, and brain-computer interfaces.
When not in class or working on research (or, you know, doing anything else required to sustain life), I'm a professional application developer, employed at my institution. Most of my projects are web based tools to serve my University, including: emergency notification, grant management, fundraising, etc.
As a professor once told me, "If you want something done, give it to a busy person."
