I'm a game programmer and former government contractor experienced in C/C++, C#, DirectX / XNA, WinForms, SQL Sever and ASP.NET. I dabble in most technologies, including WPF, Python (and Django), Ruby (and Rails), Windows PowerShell, Java and others.

comment Display a Message Box over a Full Screen DirectX application
WPF requires creating a managed stack. In this case, I needed a pure Win32 / DirectX solution.

comment How to design a game's software such that it is easy to unit test?
I find that happens more in instances where tests are written for pre-existing classes rather than the other way around.

comment Could SDL be used to target Xbox 360?
@coderanger Sorry dude, but if I could down vote a comment, I would. The use of .NET in the CC is for security reasons and to allow for a clean sandbox while still allowing them to use the COM based DirectX without issue (something Java can't really do). Sure, they have a vested interest in .NET, but that's not the reason they limited CC games to use it.
