comment Randomly generating the hallways between a network of rooms
You can easily create "loops" by simply opening a few random doors.

comment Java Game : How to place one tile over another tile
You need to change the order in which you draw the tiles. Always draw the tiles you want on the bottom first.

comment Why can't my A* implementation find a path out of an open room?
From the way you describe your algorithm, you only have one active open path. A* creates a path going each direction at each node and stores them in a list then repeats the process for the lowest path until it finds the end.

if your rand() returns a float you can just do rand()*total instead. I am unsure what the values in your creationManager function represent so it's up to you to determine the chance for each type of platform to show up.

comment Send info about gun shots via UDP
Just a couple things you may want to consider: What happens when you lose a shot packet with UDP? What happens if the client sends 100 shot packets all at the same time with either UDP or TCP?

comment How can I ensure reasonably spaced out enemies
Hate to say it but random numbers are(n't) random. Also, in my experience compilers usually evaluate % before multiplication. so you may want to add some parentheses in there.

comment SFML 2.0 Too Many Variables in Class Preventing Draw To Screen
One of the things I do when debugging SDL is to flip right after a draw and then do a short sleep. This will show each draw step and can help to debug some drawing issues. Also drawing in different colors will indicate where your last draw ocurred.
