I started tinkering with HTML a few years after I discovered the internet and AOL. Like most of my generation, I had a few pages on Geocities and probably an AOL homepage or two.

In the early 2000's, I became more familiar with web development and started using JavaScript, PHP, mySql, and various CMS packages.

In 2005 I took my first job as an entry level Web Developer at a Microsoft shop and dropped PHP/mySql in favor of ASP and Sql Server. During my 4 years at the job, I transitioned into using ASP.NET/C# and more recent versions of SQL Server and continued to use these products and others in other jobs.

I'm now a Lead Developer at DeepAdvantage, working with Django and ReactJS.
