MonoGame iOS and Game Performance If you have multiple questions at once, ask them separately. You don't have a limited budget of questions you're allowed to ask, and the Q&A system breaks down when you want several distinct questions answered at once. |

Concept: Interpretive Spells @Deathly I've made an edit to your post that I think clarifies some things. Please check my edits and make sure I've still preserved the intent of your post. |

Concept: Interpretive Spells I believe Deathly is just pointing out that such a system could potentially support spells with thousands of symbols. He is not saying every spell would be thousands of symbols long, but more advanced ones could be. He is curious about how such a magic (and spell interpretation) system could be accomplished. |

Designing for visually impaired gamers I've removed your email address since you can present that in your profile if you want to make yourself available for contact. This is a Q&A site, and an invitation to talk is not part of an answer. |

Automatically generate character face @Noctrine I don't think the asker was after a technology to use. But then again: originally I thought they were just looking for a new way to find an art package, but now I'm not sure what they're asking for at all really. Prashanth, could you please elaborate on what you're actually asking for? |

What programming language was Super Mario Bros. written in? Voting to close, as questions about what technology a particular game used are now off topic. |

Ruby Vs. C# - Better for Game Programming "Which technology is better?" and "Which language should I learn?" questions are off topic as written in the FAQ. The links on those points explain why. |

How can I convert .obj files to .3ds on Mac? @Byte56 He probably was, as a subpar way of asking for what he was really after. |

How can I convert .obj files to .3ds on Mac? @Byte56 There is a requirement here: it converts correctly without skipping stuff. It's a "I need to do this, how can I do it?" question that may well have multiple answers, but it isn't the sort of question you get in "which technology?" questions. |

Alternative ways to construct maps I'm voting to close as not constructive. From the FAQ: You should only ask practical, answerable questions based on actual problems that you face. Chatty, open-ended questions diminish the usefulness of our site and push other questions off the front page. |

How to deal with Character body parts from Design to Cocos2d Your first question doesn't make much sense. That isn't an "or" situation - if you're drawing 2D sprites, all your animation is frame by frame. |

UV texture mapping with perspective correct interpolation @KromStern "What's wrong with my code?" often get closed as too localized (they only help the author), unless it's the sort of problem a lot of users would experience (hence would help a lot of people and not be too localized). In this case: definitely too localized. |

Influence Maps for Pathfinding? @James Both this site and GameDev.SE deal with code; that isn't how they're divided up. From our FAQ (which I suggest you read): General programming questions more likely belong on Stack Overflow instead of here. A good rule of thumb is to ask yourself... "Would a professional game developer give me a better/different/more specific answer to this question than other programmers?" If yes, then feel free to ask it here. |

Can a straight line be called a polygon? @Indika Are you trying to answer the original question or ask a whole new one? GameDev.SE doesn't work like a forum with individual posts: there is a question and you respond to it with an answer. That said: there's no guarantee those lines will meet. If you want some resources for learning maths, I suggest you look through Khan Academy - it's free (as in Wikipedia, because they can afford it) and it covers the entire American public school curriculum with some exceptional lessons (the guy is incredibly good at explaining stuff). |

How do I constrain a specific area of an actor to mouse X and Y? Hi nipponese, and welcome to GDSE. Since your post is already tagged with 'gamesalad', and this will almost always appear alongside your question, you don't also need to dump the tag in your question title. I've edited it out. |
