comment Problem getting information about running processes with .GetProcesses() in Unity3D on OS X
2 things: 1) What are you trying to find? 2) You may be running into limitations of the sandbox: docs.unity3d.com/Documentation/Manual/SecuritySandbox.html

comment Does a game engine affect the quality of pre-baked Global Illumination?
Global illumination for games is typically "don't factor in lighting", so a lot of engines don't even bother. If you want something mental-ray would give, you are better off baking that into the texture.

comment About the A* algorith(pathfinding)
This is well tread ground as others have mentioned, but: -The heuristic will be dependent on the application -The path cost would be a derived input, from the inputs current location and goal.

comment What's the proper way to set up a texture atlas in Unity 3D?
Just as an experiment, you might want to convert your texture to a .tiff or .jpg, just to see what happens. Unity interpolates the colors differently for each.

lerp is looking for a value between 0f and 1.0f for the third paramater. Anything greater an 1 will be interpreted as 1, and anything less than 0 will be interpreted as 0. You have the value as a flat 1f, so of course it will teleport (100% of the second parameter).

comment How to hook into a game written in C++
I'm not going to split hairs. Valve maintains no less than 4 proprietary formats, for example. They aren't terrible hard to figure out but it is still time intensive.
