So far, we're targeting only Desktop Systems like Winodw and Linux for the x86 system, which means we won't use OGL|ES. We want to stick to OpenGL since it's great portability to other platforms.

Initialize OpenGL on in Windows you've to use Functions from wgl. These will need a DC, that you can only get from a GDI/WPF or DXGI context. :'/

If I understand right, you want to compile those addins/script ect. you can use the .Net enviroment to make a script language out of it. You can take a look at this: csscript.net or use .Net to create your own.

Well, I can't believe it also, but I think it's possible because to get the "Windows 8"-brand the PC most have an touchscreen and did you ever see a game written in DirectX that supports gaming with Touchscreen?
