comment Why do I get different performance in different build modes of Visual Studio?
Yeah, I really should check it out using an profiler. By the way. I decided to ask this here because this happened to me only while using SharpGL a lib which is likely being used for game programming. My second thought why I put here is that when you're programming a game you want to squeeze out as much performance as possible. So why not ask at GDSO, a place where many programmers have expearence in the topic application performance ?

I don't get the point of your question. Why should you analyse an engine's source? If you want to learn about creating your own engine, make a game based on a graphics API like DX9, then extracz commonly used classes. I think that's how Valves Source Engine has been invented.

So far, we're targeting only Desktop Systems like Winodw and Linux for the x86 system, which means we won't use OGL|ES. We want to stick to OpenGL since it's great portability to other platforms.

Thank you for your question. As it seems I had a wrong view on microsoft and their "deprecated" sign.

Ok, my question goes down like a lead balloon. Of course I didn't want to complain about MS. I think I 've incorrectly formulated my thoughts / question.
