just getting started on my first game for my final year project in collage (software development), a 2d platformer for xbox indie games written using XNA with C#.
I would like it to be somewhat original but i dont want to get my hopes up either because its my first attempt at a game so it will probably either a load of shite or based heavily off metal slug (I FOOKIN LUV METAL SLUG!!)

XNA C# Platformer - physics engine or tile based? thank you very much Andrew Russell, i see you answered my other XNA related question also, i think i will look into vector based stuff. I checked out some of your projects they look cool, that kind of rotational shooting in stick ninja is also what i am going for, in a side scroller. PS: no im not crazy like you, i want to take the easiest route! |

XNA C# Platformer - physics engine or tile based? should i remove the question so? because there is no factual answer is there, it is a question of which method suits my scenario best, maybe its too broad for this site! |

Xbox thumbstick used to rotate sprite, basic formula makes it “stick” or feel “sticky” at 90 degree intervals! How do you get smooth rotation? edited title |
