adding space between each bricks in breakOut I added an edit for your answer, but I don't really understand what you're trying to say... |

Calling opengl32.DLL from java? Fair enough, but still - Roy's answer actually adds something. Maybe the -1 was unnecessary, but I can't remove it now, it's "locked" :( As for alternatives, the OP stated that he doesn't like LWJGL, so there's not much more I can offer :) |

Calling opengl32.DLL from java? This is not really a helpful answer, it just says "try harder because it's the easiest think to do". Well... it's not the easiest thing to do. On the other hand, Roy actually gives some input. |

Writing and reading from an XML file with Slick2D As far as I can see, this is unrelated to Slick2D or lwjgl. You seem to be asking "how to handle XML files in Java", which is a pretty easy question to Google. |

Refering to an object from an array in Java Or you could say Java never copies objects unless you explicitly call a copying function. Of course, primitive types (like 'int', 'float') behave differently. |

A paddle in my pong game isn't moving If using a debugger is out of your reach, try using println() to check whether your program executes the code you think it executes, and what are the values of variables. But seriously, learn to use the debugger. |

Create Random Platformer-Gameworld What has the question "create random platformer levels" have to do with XML files or XNA or C#? I retaged it. Even though you seem to think the way your levels are represented in files is relevant, I think it has nothing to do with the question. |

Approach on how to split game assets into split archives Besides, an "adaptive algorithm" means that archive layout would change often whenever you add new content, which doesn't sound fun even for the dev version. |

Approach on how to split game assets into split archives Why do you think this would boost performance? If you mean that there is no need to read the whole file, then proper use of seeks within a large file would have the same effect. |

Good technological solutions to build an ascii map and moving characters in a browser (like dwarf fortress)? Russian has a different font than ASCII, and Chinese is even more different. Usual website care about aesthetics, which includes stuff like variable sized glyphs, kerning, nice "flow" of text etc. A DF-like game would care about regular placement of letters, which cannot be reliably done in a web browser. |

Get ring of tiles in hexagon grid @Byte56 Really? Hm. I tried to avoid that one... 0..N-1 gives 0..1 for N=2, so that's i=0 and i=1, which is 2 values. 2 values from each times 6 directions is 12 tiles, as it should be ...? |

Input handling with callbacks @ctor - re "I would have to create separate methods to handle individual keys" - look at my second example. With boost::bind, you can functions which accept parameters. |

Reward volatility of League of Legends matchmaking system @DenysS. I don't think you caught the difference between fixed ratio and varied ratio reinforcement. It doesn't matter what the "average in the long run is", it only matters if the brain is sure of the next result. The lack of certainty is the crucial factor that differs varied from fixed schedules. |

Reward volatility of League of Legends matchmaking system @BenjaminDangerJohnson well sure, 50/50 ratio doesn't apply to slot machines. I'll edit the answer to reflect. As for losing games in LoL, last time I played you gained a little but only about 5x less than for a win. |
