Exporting XNA class library as a DLL file I was only responding to a flag. The definition of a downvote is "this answer is not useful". His question was how to compile a DLL and you have answered it by telling him to open and compile it. I guess it's valid in some sense, but I would agree that it's not useful/helpful to the author. If you put yourself in his shoes and then read your answer, do you think it answers his questions? Regardless, it's up to the community and original author to decide what's a good answer by voting, I was merely giving a suggestion. |

using std::chrono::steady_clock for timing Perhaps you should take a look into the source code of a game library's timing functions; behind them you should simply find some system-specific API calls, nothing custom or arcane. The game library should simply be using the best standard timer choice, that is, one which is high resolution and accurate. |

What do XNA C# programmers do for inspiration? Also in our FAQ is a list of other places to ask this type of question. I just added the section recently so it might not have existed at the time you asked this question. It's an interesting question, but as Byte56 said, not a good fit for our Q&A format. |
