You don't really answer anything. This should be a comment on the question.

comment Is UDP still better than TCP for data-heavy realtime games?
@KaareZ i'm not an expert but let's think about it. How could TCP be better in term of performance and still be a reliable protocol? You can't have everything. TCP is made for reliability. The real question is why would you want to use TCP in your game?

With UDP there is no guarantee that your packets will be received or even ordered, that alone makes UDP faster than TCP.

comment libGDX best way to do Game States
Why would you load the screen date in the Show method? Show is called every time the screen is shown, it's obviously not the right place to load the data your screen need. Load the data in the screen constructor or in the Init method and you should be fine.

comment Change gui in java game
You should look at the concept of 'Game states' and change the content of your jframe regarding the current state. You could create one JPane for all of your state and load them in your JFrame as you need them.

comment Dynamic Events in an Entity Component System
For instance, my DoorSystem (bound to a DoorComponent for example) would query for DoorOpen messages and if one is found, do a doorCompoent.IsOpened = true. Something like that.

comment Dynamic Events in an Entity Component System
I don't think you need to bother with a message component. Just make a processing system (not bound to any component), expose some methods to add message or query for messages. Also you should maybe make sure your messages list does not contains out dated messages.
