My first game is out: http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store/app/space-repo-man/a50458e2-f953-4f54-b3e8-d036e7312713

Space Repo Man where you repossess items - in space! It's got physics and explosions and everything. I don't know if it would ever have been finished without this site, pretty much every problem I ran into had an answer here :)

Main interests are physics, shader programming and AI

I have made a simple dice roller for WP7 in order to learn physics engine programming which was quite a time consuming project :)

I am now working on a 2D physicsbased flying game for WP7 using Farseer physics.

Some of my experiments etc are displayed on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/mikhog?feature=mhee

comment SAT - How to find Shortest line between two static convex 2D Polygons
Sure but you know which axis you are testing for and you know at least one vertex on that axis. When you calculate overlap it can be negative (a distance). But I may be missing something, it's been a while since I used SAT :)

comment How would one construct a realistic “infrared vision” effect?
Both were good and helpful answers but yours helped me a bit more specifically by pointing me towards lookcing at different wavelengths of the IR-spectrum and to dynamically adjust emissivity values. But how the heck did you know all this about something so far from game dev?? I've worked with IRVs in real life and didn't know half of this :)

+1 really good answer! I especially like your last point I had not considered this at all and I think you are correct, it would make for a very nice touch that might even help divert the user's attention away from the fact that the rest might not be entirely realistic.

comment Best collision shape for rooms
Boxes are pretty efficient... Collision meshes are not in case you have too many triangles.

Never really considered IR-light sources. I guess you could make some neat effects with the IRVs resetting when looking straight at an IR-source...

Looks really nice at a glance, I released my game with only high scores to compete with though :) this looks promising though, might be worth implementing.

comment Largest sphere inside a frustum
Hmm I guess it depends on your purpose... If you draw a sphere with one half beyond the far-plane then that would be bigger but maybe that goes against your purpose?

Do the sphere have to be entirely on the hither side of the far-plane as in the image?

Why wouldn't a circle work with SAT? The projection will just be the same along any axis right?
