comment Collision detection with curves
@Murplyx You could ask a new question with more elaborate details explaining how you compute tension and what parameters cause this to fail. You could also use the alternative method mentioned bellow. I am well aware that computation precision is limited when interactive response is a consideration.

comment Can I prevent diagonal movement from exploring more of the map?
Like many mentioned.. It is impossible to solve because 1.41 > 1.0. If I move 50 turns in a diagonal, I moved a distance of ~70 rather than 50 so of course I uncovered more ground.

I am glad and I learned a new auto-antonym. ;) You are welcome. SDL, box2d and C++ are all challenging.

You can do this with marching squares. I believe NAPE 2 has a working implementation.

Keep at it. It has nothing to do with a specific age. It is just all about learning way to increase productivity. People find a million excuses for procrastination, hell I'm procrastinating right now. :)

comment Single or multiple inheritance for game world objects
You shouldn't use inheritance where it doesn't solve a code duplication problem in software design. It may lead you to uneasy situations where conceptually an object is x and y and you want to inherit both. This could make the construction and handling of objects far more complicated. You should consider an entity component system unless you see a clear advantage in the current inheritance scheme you are using. In general you should think of inheritance as a tool to remove code duplication and group classes with very different attributes and behaviors under one roof, use it sparingly.

comment What is the graphics of 'Dumb ways to die' made of?
It looks like 3d rendered with one color and some strong anti-aliasing. It is possible that it's vector graphics. It can be accomplished in 3d rendering or vectors. The trick is the way they animated the curves.

Are the animation frames saved into memory or are you using skeletal animation like in Don't Starve and similar games?

comment How can I get a direction vector from a an Euler angle?
Can you give a few examples of what you're putting in and what you are getting as a result? First, you are adding 90 degrees so you are supposed to get a perpendicular vector of course.

comment Creating Platform game with Inclined Levels
While it is possibly to do inclines with tiles (e.g. Sonic), it is not as easy and intuitive as it would be using RUBE like you suggested. So what is the question?
