I'm Cyral! I program and do graphics design as a hobby. I'm into creating games, in fact I am making one at the moment and it would be great if you could check it out! Zarknorth.
I tend to help out newer people (Hey I said as a hobby, I'm no professional!) with their questions about c# and the xna framework.
I do some web development and have a basic understanding of html, css, and php but it's not what I normally do. I hope to learn java and c++ soon.

How can I acheive a smooth 2D lighting effect? Yea, I figured it out. I got a completely black screen which made me think I did something wrong, but I just forgot to move my lighting logic to before my lighting rendering. |

How can I acheive a smooth 2D lighting effect? Quick question, how can I keep the rendertarget from resetting after I switch render targets. Ex, I draw my tiles, draw my lighting on the lighting target, and go back to my main target, I fill find that whats been drawn so far is gone |

How can I acheive a smooth 2D lighting effect? Almost got this all worked out, but It fades from black to white, instead of black to transparent. The shader part is what I am confused on, how to write one to dim the original unlit scene to that of the new one. |

How can I acheive a smooth 2D lighting effect? This seems pretty simple, Ill see what I can do later. I tried something simlar before (I rendered the lightmap over everything else and used a blur shader, but I couldnt make the renderTarget "transparent" it had a purple overlay, but I wanted it to see through to the actuall tile layer) |
