4 game objects, or one single prefab. Yes.

I'll put together a more complete answer later tonight if no one beats me to it, but in short to get you going, using the list of game objects you can just drag and drop them onto each other to arrange a hierarchy of the objects. When you have it all set up you can create a prefab from the root object and all the child objects become part of the prefab as well.

Is a prefab using the built in layering of objects out of the question?

comment How can I manually control the lifetime of actor objects in C#?
Specifically I would look at this answer - I think you may be trying to accomplish something at isn't meant to be accomplished in the context of C#

@RandyGaul the question should be edited to ask how to do it instead of asking for a reference that explains how to do it and then I think it would be a fine question. Links to references cause link rot which essentially means if the link dies the answer is subsequently useless which is a bad thing for a Q&A site.

Agreed. I hope you find the answer you are looking for. Just pointing out a work around incase it was something you hadn't thought of.

If you don't find an answer to this problem, another option is to just set a static variable in a class that contains this data and call that in your script.

comment How can I test if an object will “fit” during pathfinding?
@PieterGeerkens I have the link around as a resource for when I need it. I haven't actually leveraged it as a resource for myself yet so while I understand the concepts I am far from an expert on the matter. Add to that the time I need to summarize what they've said in a useful manner for the OP without just pasting the link resulting in potential link rot, it's something I just don't have the time and current knowledge to undertake.

You probably have the information since you were able to determine that you intersected with the wall in the first place, though it's likely specific to the library/engine/framework/whatever that you used.
