I'm a graduate of Artificial intelligence and Computer Science, currently studying my Master's degree at the University of Eastern Finland. I have nearly two years experience working for TMVSE in Edinburgh. I'm interested in almost everything thing to do with computers, and have dabbled in a lot of things. I'm knowledgable in a fairly wide variety of algorithms, libraries and tools, and program mostly in c++, c# and occasionally java.

Why does this Unity code work as expected only with the while loop? Seeing the answer, I'm inclined to agree. When I asked it I thought I was falling foul of a Unity specific subtlety so I chose to ask here. I always find it's a tough call whether to ask questions like this here or on SO though. |

Why does this Unity code work as expected only with the while loop? Argh, of course! I didn't even think that I was modifying a collection, as I was changing the parent of a member of it. Of course it makes sense that it immediately affect transform, I just didn't connect the dots far enough! Thanks for the enlightenment! |

Why does this Unity code work as expected only with the while loop? The expected output: parent all children to obj. The output without the while loop: only some children are parented to obj, some remain parented to transform |

In Unity, can I make a GameObject within a prefab disabled by default? This was my 'resort to' option, it's alright in isolation, but clutters my calling code. (I have an "enable object" script, which is used often, a generic "enable x component in object" script would be either time consuming or messy) Good advice for the times it's unavoidable though! |

In Unity, can I make a GameObject within a prefab disabled by default? Annoying indeed! Useful code snippet, thanks! |

In Unity, can I make a GameObject within a prefab disabled by default? This doesn't answer my question - try my scenario, create a prefab and drag on the ExampleGameObject. When you create a new instance of the prefab, both objects will be enabled. |
