comment What is the breakdown of jobs in game development?
@Liosan Seems like Jason's text does not mention QA at all in any of the groups. I didn't notice this at first, but it's quite surprising, as QA is definitely an important role and should be explicitly stated. Personally I would still file it under the "other" group. Answer updated.

@Mitchell Sure, why not. I already thought about stripping "game" from it. I updated the answer.

comment What are the pros and cons of Lua vs. Python as a scripting language for XNA/C# platform?
I opted for Python in the end - I already know it, it goes well with .NET as was mentioned, and I didn't yet find a compelling advantage of using Lua instead.

comment How to import the .fbx scene with multiple objects in XNA so that the objects retain their scene position?
You can also accept your own answer, as it solves the problem in question. Just in case you didn't know.

comment Content.Load() throws ContentLoadException when loading a texture in SL XNA
This would be the same as OP is doing. The contentManager is the App.Content in the default SL XNA project: contentManager = (Application.Current as App).Content;

comment What technologies are used to develop games for tablets and iPhones?
This is quite broad range of things you are asking. Point 3. specifically, which is solely about HTML5 and therefore quite out of scope of the rest of the question, maybe you could move it to a separate question? For the rest of the question it would help to be more specific, e.g. are you asking about iOS devices only, or are you also interested in other platforms, such as Android or Windows?

Nonetheless, I suggested an edit to make title more specific.

@Tetrad Should be ok as long as its not capitalized. As for me, Torchlight didn't came to mind at all until reading your comment.

comment What are the pros and cons of Lua vs. Python as a scripting language for XNA/C# platform?
@Psykocyber I want the scripting to be a part of the game. Modifying the game environment should be a core part of the fun in this case. I expect players to "script their way throught the game" - to overcome challenges by extending and modifying provided base game objects.

comment What are the pros and cons of Lua vs. Python as a scripting language for XNA/C# platform?
@MindWorX actually I've never thought of that :] But yeah, I don't see a reason why C# could not be used for scripting. I think it just does not have all the freedom, even if only syntactic, that is expected from "scripting" languages. I will look into this option to get more insight, but the question still remains about Lua and Python.
