comment Unwanted Perlin Noise result
Ok, but to phrase it differently - maybe you might want to look into DS-algorithm and compare?

The latter image looks more like diamond-squares algorithm..

comment Calculate the best route for racing games
A genetic algorithm would be quite suitable, however, you have to run this over several hours perhaps, and store the best path with your level, in some sense. You cannot use GA in real-time to find the best path, it would most likely be way too computationally intensive.

comment How do I pick tiles from an isometric map with slopes?
One idea is to make a second render, with a unique color for each tile, and just match color with the one the user clicked on. This is a common technique..

comment How to move an object uniformly from one point to another at a fixed angle?
Just surprises me, this is essentially a math question, and LaTeX is the standard for typing mathematics...

What, LaTeX does not work here?

comment Is it possible to calculate or mathematically prove if a game is balanced / fair?
Well, run a bunch of simulations/gather data. That is how they do balancing in StarCraft 2... They measure which units are used most, and which race wins the most. Data collection is the key for complex games, and statistics is just as good as mathematics. Even better I'd say, since you'll capture psychological effects as well. That is why there are not nearly as many mathematicians playing poker than you'll expect.

Well, leaving and entering should not give you any advantage, but I cannot see how leaving a poker game, and then reenter would....

comment Java Tile Collision Detection not accurate enough
I would suggest you to read a bit on linear algebra, and how basis changes work. Then you can find exactly the tile the user selects without using collision algorithms altogether. It sound like this is what you seek. Thus, it is not too hard to implement
Point2d getTileCoord(Point2d moiseclick)
if you have a static set of tiles in a grid.

comment Player icon auto generator
There is a nifty system in OpenTTD, which generates random faces, by gluing together hair, eyes, skin color, and some other features. These features can be changed by the user.
