The path that a moving object follows through space as a function of time. It can be described mathematically either by the geometry of the path, or as the position of the object over time.

An object propelled through fluid matter (air/water) from Point A to Point B cannot take a straight path to get there. Some factors of trajectory:

  • Gravity
  • Friction (air/water)
  • Movement of the fluid (wind/current)
