So I have a Libgdx project done, and have been trying to get it to port it to html5 for awhile using GWT. Thing is, none of the application's assets are being found because (I discovered just now), the assets/data/ folder is being cleaned every time the app starts.

I'm clueless what to do. It cleans the assets folder every time around for no reason?

Getting them to be read-only won't work either.

This image demonstrates the problem: can't find the files that diappear!

If I recall correctly there are specific folders for android/desktop assets. Perhaps the same is needed for your html5 project. –  Sidar May 20 '13 at 20:03
The project build generates 4 projects: the core, which has all the actual java code and no main, and then a main and respective libs, for android, Desktop, and html5. The desktop I got running copying the asset in, and works normally. And html5 I spammed the folders in every single possible location to see if it'd pick it up.. but no. Then I found out that this folder is deleting itself! –  GigaBass May 20 '13 at 20:05
Ah, it's been a while. I guess they added tons of features since then. Is it possible that you need to run your project in an online domain or the local host? –  Sidar May 20 '13 at 20:12
Should be able to simply run it in my browsers in development mode such as I'm trying, the only issue is that I apparently don't know how to handle assets or something? I guess –  GigaBass May 20 '13 at 20:17
