Game Development Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for professional and independent game developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

It is my first game using Cocos2D with Chipmunk and I have a bit of a novice question. I am using the CCPhysicsSprite to create different parts of a character. I would like to be able to group these to have a compact character, let's say a ragdoll for instance. In this case each of the parts of the ragdoll (body, arms and legs) are a CCPhysicsSprite.

However I am not sure of what the best strategy is. What should be the class of my character? CCNode? Ideally I would like to be able to add the character to the scene in a single line, such as

Ragdoll *ragdoll = [[Ragdoll alloc] initWithSpace:space atLocation:(CGPoint)location];
[batchNode ragdoll];

Is this even possible?

Thanks in advance!
