How could I make a program that simulates the physics of a ball?

I want it to be so that if i have a ball and place it on top of a ramp it will roll down that ramp. How might this be accomplished?

You should use some physics engines like Box2d.. or revise your high-school physics and implement the basic gravity equation (not so difficult - Newton second law: engineeringtoolbox.com/accelaration-gravity-d_340.html) – mm24 Nov 24 '12 at 11:51
The collisions and gravity you can look up for a sphere basically anywhere. For the rotation of the ball you probably want to use quaternions. – Eric B Nov 24 '12 at 16:22
I'm in middle school and also don't know what quaternions are... – Seth Taddiken Nov 24 '12 at 22:58
