I have an XNA game on WP7.5 and I like to add a multi-player mode, but I really don't know what to do. At first, I tried it with WCF, but that was really slow for the game. Are there any other options? I saw some samples on the net, but only for local wifi networks.

This question appears to be off-topic. The users who voted to close gave this specific reason:

  • "Questions about "how to get started" or "what should I learn next" cannot reasonably be answered with anything other than opinion polling and therefore are off topic for the site. For more information on how to ask a better question, see the help center" – Josh Petrie

You're not going to be able to add multiplayer beyond a local Wi-Fi network without some kind of central server for players to connect to. In that sense it's going to be no different than any other client server configuration for networking games. Though I don't know if the server can just be there to introduce the clients and be done or if it's needed as a proxy for all the traffic. – Byte56 Nov 22 '12 at 23:27 seems to allow a communication between two devices behind NATs, so, if going for the second possibility, you should look into that. – Clement Bellot Nov 23 '12 at 17:05
