Could you please list a few free 3d OOP game engines, along with the pros and cons? Embeddable in VB.net would be great.

Well it's sort of like a 95% duplicate. There's not an /exact/ match. And I posted only to point out all the possible duplicates in a nicer format than a long comment of URLs. –  Ricket Sep 23 '10 at 18:41

It depends on the language that you want to use. I have always liked the format of Java so I used the jMonkeyEngine to do this

There's idTech4 now too, although that's quite old, but GPL.
