I'm a student and my group have a task to create a simple multiplayer Rpg webgame. And I have to do it in just a few months. Is there any open source engine or framework to do this? Or any other idea?

There are several solutions based on HTML5, one of them is LibGDX but coding HTML5 from the ground up it's not that hard and it's probably the best solution in some cases.

Note: even if the solutions mentioned above are more game frameworks than game engines.
