Anybody have any ideas about this?

Why would installations for an app go down for 3 days in a row and then go up, then go down again? And why would it be going down in one country but go up a bit on other countries? I mean, if you did a CPC campaign in a country that is supposed to be going up for installs but is instead going down, what would be the problem?

So here's what happens: People download game one day, people don't the next day. Seriously, what are you expecting? The same number of downloads every day? – Byte56 Jul 13 '12 at 1:56
I'm guessing you aren't taking my question seriously. You'd be amazed by how close data can be EVERY day of the week. There are billions of people in the world so yes, most people would expect the data to be stable everyday unless something seriously went wrong. – user1114968 Jul 13 '12 at 2:12

Fluctuations happen, you don't tell us what the range of these changes are. – Byte56 Jul 13 '12 at 2:25
Well for instance, for 3 days, the numbers will go down by 20 each day and one country will go down by 50% while other countries go up. It's not a huge difference but it's still a difference. – user1114968 Jul 13 '12 at 3:25
Down by 20 downloads? And the 50% is a sub 100 number as well? I'd say that's well within the regular ebb and flow of things. – Byte56 Jul 13 '12 at 3:38

We can't answer that as it depends. It can depend on your target market, the days in which it fluctuates, the genre of the game, even the different countries it fluctuates in all and more are a factor of these reasons...

For example off top of my head say your game was targeted at school kids in a church going country (as a majority ofc) and your days were sat, sun, mon. now assuming they still go to church on sunday mayb downloads were high on a saturday as they were all off, sun they discuss it in church and mon their friends try it, try not to look at the ups and downs (your go insane) instead try looking at trends ie over a month it has drops by 20 points theres something wrong or could simply be market saturation.

What you essentially have is a product in a fierce market and all the rules of trends of products will take effect. Day by day is not a good measure as there is too many factors involved.
