I was wondering if anyone has any experience of using Mono and/or MonoGame for cross platform game development, particularly with regards to Android and iOS games development.

Key things are;

  • What performance issues did you find if any
  • What compatibility issues did you run into
  • Were there any issues finding libraries for game basics
  • Could you easily deploy on the desktop for testing
  • Were there big things you had to change to get things going on each platform

I know there are a couple of examples of games that use Mono and/or MonoGame, but I would like a more personal account of working with them.

It's difficult to tell what is being asked here. This question is ambiguous, vague, incomplete, overly broad, or rhetorical and cannot be reasonably answered in its current form. This isn't a very good fit for our Q&A format. From here: "You should only ask practical, answerable questions based on actual problems that you face." "If your motivation for asking the question is “I would like to participate in a discussion about ______”, then you should not be asking here." – Tetrad Apr 24 '12 at 16:33
Of course feel free to bring such discussions to the chat: – Tetrad Apr 24 '12 at 16:33
I agree this is not a good fit to ask here, but they are very reasonable questions about MonoGame so I suggest you try asking on the MonoGame forums. Post a link, and I'll try get around to answering them. – craftworkgames Jun 23 '14 at 6:34
