I know tou guys must get this question A LOT but i have no where else to turn... My friend and I have this amazing, beautiful game in our heads but have no idea where to start with developing and designing. We dont really have any coding experience but are dedicated and will do what it take to learn it. We want to make a first person/open world/ RPG type game.We are also accumulating more people that might be interested for more man power. We have all the ideas but... 1.we dont know how to organize anything we brainstorm 2. we dont know coding 3.We dont have all the time in the world right now but when it comes summer we will have A LOT of time to do this like non stop work except for weekends when I myself have a small job at a resturaunt. We're looking at using either CryEngine, Epic's UDK engine or torqe. What would be more friendly towards us?

tl;dr we have all the ideas but no idea how to utilize them

Thanks Peoples

Here's what I would recommend: if you want to make games, make games. Start small - learning to code is not as hard as you might think. Drop the giant, grand idea for now, and make something simple - Pong with a twist, or even a connect 4 game. Then finish it and release it. Then make another game, a bit more complicated than the last. Grand ideas are good, but if you want to make a Skyrim clone, realize that Skyrim had an 8 or 9 figure budget and was built by scores of the best game developers, artists and designers. Several thousand man years of work went into it. – mdkess Feb 20 '12 at 15:21
