I'm new to game dev. I need 2D or 3D models of real weapons for an app I'm writing. But I'm no 2D/3D graphics genius ;)

Is there any place where I can get such things? For free or commercially. Both is fine.

Helpful would be a graphics format which allows editing the models.

Maybe ? I think most of them cost money however. You could also check out some pre-existing game sprites if it's 2D. A lot of people have uploaded various sprites from various games. Doing a google search on DOOM sprites gives you a good indicatio that there are things available.
