What are all the game competitions out there -- at least the major ones? Preferably with the approximate time that they run.

So far, I've got:

  • Ludum Dare (April 29th)
  • Ludum Dare (Jam) (April 29th)
  • 7DRL (next year)
  • Experimental Gameplay Project (now until April 30th)
  • Dream. Build. Play. (May 17th)

The thing is, a question like this requires a lot of upkeep to keep the list of competitions updated. I might recommend, if you want to manage something like this, putting it in the Game Development Wiki, but please don't keep it here. Also, we already have a question listing gamedev related contests, so if you know of other contests, post them there and don't include a date. I agree with Tetrad's close of this question.
